We often think of days gone by
When we were all together.
A shadow over our lives is cast,
Our loved one gone forever.

Yet since you could no longer stay
To cheer us with your love,
We hope to meet you again in
The bright world above.

He had a nature you could not help loving,
A heart that was purer than gold,
And to those who knew him and loved him
His memory will never grow cold.

The depths of sorrow we cannot tell,
Of the loss of one we loved so well;
And while he sleeps a peaceful sleep,
His memory we shall always keep.
