Reflections is an audio visual workplace safety presentation designed to be used in conjunction with Occupational Health and Safety education.
Its purpose is to raise the profile of safety by confronting the stark and very real truths about what it is like to experience workplace death.
On April 28th each year we gather to remember workers who have lost their lives as a result of their job.
The 2012 service was held at the Pilgrim Uniting Church in Adelaide.
The LIFE QUILT SA project was implemented by a team of dedicated people to bring about a higher level of awareness of safety in the workplace in South Australia. Several VOID members loved ones are represented on this beautiful quilt as it travels around the State spreading an important message.
We’re here because the political agendas of law makers have overlooked the value of human life in the workplace. They have buckled to the pressure of the powerful lobby of business and industry groups.
Meanwhile we have workplace deaths, precious little prevention and broken families left to deal with the gaping hole in their lives.
We’re saying that is no where near acceptable and our mission is to change the way good people are treated.
For the benefit of normal human beings that do not have the luxury of a law degree and who may also have mourned the loss of a loved one killed in the workplace, our aim here is to attempt to offer a personal perspective from the viewpoint of those who have a very personal stake in these hearings.
